What are Kantech ioProx compatible cards and fobs?
Kantech ioProx credentials are 125 kHz proximity fobs and cards used by Kantech EntraPass access systems, encoded in either Kantech’s XSF format or standard 26-bit. Compatible stock from American Key Cards carries the same site code and format as OEM fobs, so EntraPass enrolls it identically. The exact XSF or 26-bit configuration is verified against a working credential before production, and no dealer account is required.

About Kantech ioProx
Kantech EntraPass systems are everywhere in Canadian and US commercial buildings, and their ioProx credentials use Kantech’s own XSF data format on 125 kHz. When the original P20DYE fobs or P30DMG cards run out, we supply compatible stock programmed to the same site code so EntraPass keeps working exactly as configured.
Every ioProx order needs the exact configuration confirmed up front — XSF versus standard 26-bit changes how the panel interprets the credential, and the site code has to match. We verify against a working fob or your EntraPass records before anything is manufactured.

How to order Kantech ioProx correctly
- XSF or 26-bit — know before ordering
Kantech readers can run in native XSF or standard 26-bit output. Your EntraPass configuration or a sample credential tells us which; guessing produces fobs the panel ignores.
- Site code continuity
New credentials must carry the site code your panel filters on. We program to your existing code so old and new stock mix freely.
- Printable cards for photo ID sites
Where badges double as photo ID, the printable ISO ioProx card runs through standard card printers — the fob obviously does not.

Kantech ioProx FAQ
Do your fobs work with EntraPass software?
Yes. The credential presents the same format and site code as OEM stock, so EntraPass enrolls and manages it identically. The software cannot tell the difference — that is the point of format-correct supply.
What do you need from me to get the programming right?
Ideally one working fob or card we can read, or the site code and format from your installer’s records. Either route lets us lock the configuration before production.
Can I order cards and fobs in the same number sequence?
Yes — mixed form factors can share one continuous number range so your access records stay clean.
My reader says ioProx but my cards say something else — what now?
Send photos of both. Mixed-technology retrofits are common, and identifying what the reader actually reads is exactly the verification step we do free before quoting.
