About Us

The card for every format

American Key Cards exists for one reason: to be the single U.S. source for compatible access credentials — including the strange, old, and obscure formats other vendors won't touch.

When a facility manager can't find a replacement card for an aging Kantech ioProx, Keri PXL, Vicon, or Indala system, they usually end up paying OEM prices for a part the OEM barely supports. We built AKC to fix that: identify the format, manufacture a compatible credential to ISO spec, encode it to your facility code, and ship it — for a fraction of OEM pricing.

What we stand for

How we're different

Coverage over convenience

Most vendors stock only the popular formats. We go after the obscure ones — the Vicons, the ioProx tags, the Keri K-formats — so you have one source for everything.

Honesty as policy

We tell you what's reproducible and what isn't. If your credential uses strong encryption and can't be cloned, we say so — instead of selling you a card that won't work.

OEM performance, not OEM prices

Compatible-by-specification credentials meet the same ISO standards as the originals — without the OEM markup.

U.S.-based support

Real people who know access control, encoding to your facility code, and quick re-orders kept on file.
