Kantech ioProx P10SHL Clamshell Card Compatible Cards & Fobs
The Kantech P10SHL is the standard clamshell form-factor ioProx credential, dual-encoded in XSF and 26-bit Wiegand at 125 kHz, and the most commonly replaced Kantech card SKU in North American commercial buildings.
The P10SHL is Kantech's flagship clamshell proximity card — a non-printable, ISO-sized credential dual-encoded in Kantech XSF and standard 26-bit Wiegand, operating at 125 kHz with an operating temperature range of -45°C to +70°C. Our AKC-compatible version is factory-programmed to your site code and sequential card number range, with no minimum-50-unit OEM restriction, making single-card and small-batch replacements practical.

Our compatible Kantech ioProx P10SHL Clamshell Card credentials
American Key Cards manufactures non-OEM credentials engineered to work with your existing Kantech (Johnson Controls) readers — no hardware changes, encoded to your facility code and card-number range.
Can Kantech ioProx P10SHL Clamshell Card cards be copied?
Kantech ioProx P10SHL Clamshell Card is an open format, so a compatible card can be produced from your facility code and card number. We don't copy individual cards on request — we manufacture new, correctly-encoded credentials for systems you own or manage.
125 kHz proximity — susceptible to electronic cloning with widely available hardware (Proxmark3, HID Omnikey, etc.). XSF dual-encoding provides broad code space but no cryptographic protection. Appropriate for standard commercial access control; not recommended for high-security environments without additional layered controls.

What is the read range of a P10SHL-compatible card on Kantech readers?
Read range depends on the reader model: up to 6.5 inches on P225/P225KP readers, up to 8.2 inches on P325/P325KP readers, and up to 29 inches on the P600 long-range reader when the card is presented parallel to the reader face.
Is the P10SHL a printable card?
The OEM P10SHL is a non-printable clamshell (the white polycarbonate shell is not dye-sub ready). If you need a printable ioProx card, the Kantech P20DYE or P30DMG are the printable variants; we offer compatible versions of those form factors as well.
Can I mix our compatible P10SHL cards with existing OEM Kantech cards on the same system?
Yes — our cards are encoded with the same XSF and 26-bit Wiegand formats as OEM P10SHL cards and are fully interchangeable on the same Kantech EntraPass system, provided the site code matches your existing credential database.
