Can you still get cards for Keri MS and PXL systems?
Yes — compatible 125 kHz credentials for legacy Keri MS, PXL/K-Format and Proximité readers are still produced, in clamshell card and key fob form. American Key Cards matches new stock to your reader family, pulling the format and facility data from one working tag when documentation is gone, with no dealer account. Keri NXT readers in native mode use a different credential type and are verified separately.

About Keri proximity
Keri Systems built its reputation on the MS-series readers and PXL controllers that still run daily in schools, churches, small manufacturers and municipal buildings across the country. Original Keri credentials for these legacy systems are increasingly awkward to source; our compatible cards and tags keep those systems in service without a rip-and-replace.
Keri is a two-era brand: the legacy MS/PXL proximity families this product serves, and the newer NXT platform, which behaves differently — NXT readers in native mode use their own credential type. We identify which era your installation belongs to before quoting, because the two are not interchangeable.

How to order Keri proximity correctly
- MS-series vs NXT is the first question
Legacy MS/PXL credentials and NXT-native credentials are different animals. A photo of the reader — the housing shapes differ — usually answers it in minutes.
- No documentation? Send a working tag
We can pull the format and facility data from one known-good credential and match new stock to it.
- Standalone vs networked panels
PXL-based networked systems enroll by card number; some older standalone setups need on-site enrollment. Knowing which changes how we number your batch.

Are original Keri MS cards still made?
Availability has thinned as the platform ages, which is why compatible supply exists. Our credentials present the same format to the reader, so the system continues operating unchanged.
Will these work on Keri NXT readers?
Only if the NXT readers were configured for legacy 26-bit Wiegand mode rather than native NXT mode. We confirm the mode first — it is a one-question email to your installer or a quick reader test.
What form factors are available?
Standard clamshell cards and key tags cover most legacy Keri sites. If you need printable photo-ID cards, tell us up front so we verify the body works with your format.
How fast can you identify our format?
Same day in most cases. Photos of the reader and a sample credential, or the model numbers from the install record, are all we need.
