Not every Keri site runs a proprietary format. Plenty of PXL-250 and IntelliProx installations were commissioned on ordinary 26-bit Wiegand — the same H10301 structure the rest of the industry uses — with KC-26X cards and PKT-26X tags as the issued stock. For those systems, replacement is refreshingly simple: any correctly programmed 26-bit credential enrolls, because the panel never knew a brand, only a facility code and card number. The one thing to verify first is that your site really is on 26-bit rather than Keri's MS or NXT formats, which use different air interfaces entirely — the printed numbering on your cards and your reader models settle it. Once confirmed, we program unbranded, compatible-by-specification clamshells and key tags to your facility code and number range and verify the H10301 structure before shipment.

What's the difference between Keri 10X and 26X credential families?
The 10X family (KC-10X, MT-10X) carries Keri's proprietary MS format for MicroStar readers; the 26X family carries standard 26-bit Wiegand for Wiegand-input systems. They are not interchangeable — the model number on your existing stock tells you which world you're in.
Can Keri 26-bit cards work on non-Keri systems?
Yes. H10301 is an industry-standard layout, so a correctly programmed 26-bit credential reads on any standard 26-bit Wiegand reader regardless of the brand on the controller. That's the advantage of sites commissioned on the open format.
Are these cards pre-programmed with a site code?
They're programmed to order — your facility code and your card-number range, verified before shipping. We continue your existing sequence unless you tell us otherwise, so the new batch drops straight into your enrollment records.
How do I confirm my system is 26-bit and not MS or NXT?
Check the reader models: MicroStar (MS-series) means MS format, NXT-series readers mean NXT. Generic Wiegand readers on a PXL-250 or IntelliProx setup usually mean 26-bit. Photos of a working card and one reader are enough for us to confirm before you order.
